SCRIPTThe Structuring Communication Relationships for Interprofessional Teamwork (SCRIPT) Programme seeks to transform hospital Clinical Teaching Units into settings where interprofessional, collaborative patient-centred practice is enacted, learned and evaluated. This three-year University of Toronto research study is funded through Health Canada's Interprofessional Education for Collaborative Patient-Centred Practice (IECPCP) Strategy. The SCRIPT Programme seeks to advance the evidence base for interprofessional education and to achieve sustainable transformation in the conduct, learning and evaluation of interprofessional teamwork in the Toronto Academic Health Science Network (TAHSN). We anticipate that the SCRIPT Programme will transform the clinical workplace - the setting for clinical training of members across all health professions - at all stages in their career. The SCRIPT Programme will ensure that education for IECPCP will be sustainable through influencing key stakeholders, so that academic institutional leaders, hospital leaders, practitioners, educators, learners and patients will work together to make IECPCP a reality at the TAHSN and beyond.
